Zomato, a must have app when travelling

First off, this is not a sponsored post. I did not realize how big Zomato was, or how useful it was until I went to the Philippines in October 2014, so I wanted to share my experience.

Zomato (https://www.zomato.com/) is a global restaurant search and discovery service founded in 2008, with the Toronto launch in 2014.  Zomato currently covers 22 countries and is constantly expanding (Source: https://www.zomato.com/about).

If you are travelling to any of these countries, I suggest getting the app to help you find good eats.

With Manila being a large city (over 1.6 million people) with so many food options, it was hard at times to choose where to go. It was amazing that even with a saturation of restaurants in the city, many were listed on Zomato.

Not being from the Philippines and being my first visit, I was honoured that my friends allowed me to choose a few of the restaurants for our group to try out. The Zomato app helped me make an informed decision based on the reviews, the location from our hotel, and the menu. The app also allowed me to call the restaurant directly.

Zomato helped me decide on Sa Kanto and Café Juanita, which topped my favourite restaurants during my visit!
