The Novotel chain has 400 hotels worldwide with 285 in Europe and 4 in Toronto/GTA. The Novotel Vaughan location is conveniently located across from the Vaughan Mills shopping mall, and close to Canada’s Wonderland. The hotel has 149 guest rooms, plenty of parking and a restaurant on the main floor called Trio Restaurant and Lounge.

At their 5 year anniversary event, I was pleasantly greeted with friendly servers, the event organizers, and the hotel’s executive team. With plenty of food and wine, I left with a good impression.
The event was located in the bar area near the front lobby. My favourite food items of the evening were the coconut shrimp, bruschetta, duck taco and the huge board of sweets.
The Trio Restaurant and Lounge has a modern lay out and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great food option before or after a day of shopping, not just a good spot for hotel patrons. Their menu is reasonably priced with a large selection (Trio Menu).
I haven’t been to Trio Restaurant but plan to. With a well organized event, I am confident the food and service at the restaurant will be great as well.
