Website: Salad Days Yelp
Address: 20 Bloor St. E., Toronto
When I visited: 5 times between January and February 2015
Rating: 5, $
For years, I’d take a walk during lunch hours to the Cumberland Terrace at Yorkville to get my salad fixings at Salad Days, even with the long lines ups.
In January 2015, Salad Days opened a second location at the Hudson Bay Centre with a bright and welcoming sign. The food quality, portions and service remains consistent to the previous location including the line ups. I try to go during non-peak times to avoid the busy lunch crowd.
I normally get the small Niçoise salad and swap the onions for beets, and it comes out to just over $5 including tax. The portions are generous and I get to choose my choice of lettuce!
Aside from the set menu options, customers can create their own salad by choosing a lettuce and 4 sides which can include smoked salmon. Customers can also get wraps or the lunch special that includes sweet potato mash, a Greek salad, 2 vines leaves and your choice of chicken or salmon for less than $6 (before tax). I swapped the sweet potato mash in my lunch special for mango and beets.
This is my favourite salad spot in Toronto with quick service, fresh ingredients and amazing value!
The restaurant also takes credit card and debit with non minimum amount.
