The Keg’s new lamb feature (plus win a $100 gift card to The Keg. Contest closed)

Disclosure: I have partnered up with The Keg Steakhouse + Bar for a gift card giveaway. Also, my meal at The Keg was complimentary but all opinions are my own.

What’s new at The Keg?

I love The Keg Steakhouse + Bar and have been going for ages. The steakhouse is all about celebrating life’s moments, and I have celebrated a countless number of anniversaries, birthdays, and date nights at the restaurant. The Keg hits the mark for their consistent quality, delicious steaks, and a welcoming atmosphere. Did you know that they have featured mains that change throughout the year?

Available until late April 2018 (based on supply in store), The Keg is offering “grilled double bone lamb chops, served with a root vegetable mash, mint chimichurri, and rosemary demi glaze”, and it is outstanding!

Enter the giveaway at the end of my post for a chance to win a $100 gift card, so you can try the lamb chops and other delicious eats at The Keg.

My recent experience:

My family and I had visited the recently opened North York location (5015 Yonge St, Toronto, On.) and it was another evening to remember with attentive service, and lots of mouth-watering dishes. Our family shared several starters from the tuna tartare, escargot, as well as the French Onion Soup. French onion soup is one of my favourite soups of all time, and I love The Keg’s version as it has a really good beef broth (not too salty), and is topped with Swiss and Parmesan cheese.

My go-to main has typically been the bacon wrapped filet mignon, or the prime rib classic dinner, but as a huge fan of lamb, I had to try the grilled double bone lamb chops. Plus, it is here for a limited time!  The lamb was cooked to a perfect medium rare, was tender, and packed with flavour. The slight acidity and the mint in the chimichurri paired well with the lamb. I loved the chimichurri so much; I topped it with a bite of my husband’s 20 oz. bone-in rib steak.

The restaurant also has a great kids menu that serves mains such as shaved prime rib sliders and a kids sirloin, with a choice of sides, and comes with a smoothie and dessert. As a bonus, $1 from every kid’s meal is donated to The Keg Spirit Foundation.

Our meal ended with The Billie Miner Pie, which is both my husband and I’s favourite dessert at The Keg. The mocha ice cream cake is topped with hot fudge, caramel and almonds. I am drooling talking about the dessert. Thank you again to The Keg for a delicious meal out. I cannot wait to return soon!
